What is EXCHANGO About
Exchango is a currency exchange app available on mobile and desktop. It provides real-time exchange rates, rate alerts, and secure currency transactions. Users can track historical exchange rates, set rate alerts, and find the best conversion rates. The desktop version offers an expanded UI with advanced search, analytics, and detailed table views. Exchango ensures a seamless and efficient currency exchange experience for travelers and forex users
Background
Exchango was created to make currency exchange easier and more convenient. It helps users check live exchange rates, set alerts, and track past rates. The app is useful for travelers, forex traders, and anyone dealing with foreign currencies. With the desktop version, users get a bigger screen, better analytics, and smoother navigation. Exchango aims to provide a simple, fast, and reliable way to manage currency exchange.

Prototyping
The wireframing and prototyping phase was where Exchango truly took shape! I started with rough sketches, carefully placing each button and feature for a smooth user experience.
Then came the digital wireframes and prototype, bringing Exchango to life with seamless transitions and an intuitive flow. Every screen was designed to make currency exchange effortless and user-friendly, ensuring a smooth journey for every user.
Designing the first screens
After some paper wireframe design , I moved on to building low-fidelity prototypes using Figma. The main challenge here was to adapt the mobile app version to take more available space, while keeping the design simple and uncluttered.
Adding interaction
I started refining the low-fidelity prototype by adding interactions and touch, making it more realistic and user-friendly
Responsive, always
Each lo-fi and hi-fi mockup was designed on at least 2 screen sizes in order to ensure the responsiveness of the Exchango website.
Icing on the Cake
With high-fidelity prototyping, I focused on visual design and the overall feel of Exchango.
I chose a clean and modern look, making sure the interface was clear and easy to use. The goal was to create a smooth and professional experience, where users could focus on exchanging currency without distractions
Testing Exchango
With each design phase, I gathered user feedback to improve Exchango. Even with limited resources, I managed to get useful insights from testers. Their suggestions helped me refine both low-fi and high-fi prototypes, making the app more user-friendly and efficient.
Designing for Accessibility
A WCAG-Compliant Approach
Throughout my project, I prioritized accessibility by ensuring high-contrast color combinations, clear typography, and user-friendly UI elements. Using WCAG guidelines, I tested and optimized readability, interaction, and usability for all users, including those with visual impairments. This approach enhances inclusivity, making the design both functional and aesthetically accessible.
